This is one of the stories we love to tell. It is one that touches us and our hearts. Unfortunately, abandonment is still a common evil. That is why we love to see that there are people who are willing to do their part in that struggle. Today we will talk about the saving angel of abandoned dogs. His name is Lee Asher. For a short time he had a “hobby” – he wanted to sing and at the same time help others. Want to know what his story is? We will tell you!
Asher lives in Los Angeles. He has loved animals intensely since he was little. Helping and caring for those in need has been one of his greatest calling.
In fact, as a child, he spent hour after hour in a shelter near his home. There he learned a lot about rescuing and caring for animals. He also learned about the role of the one who saves an animal. What to wear and have to complete.
He himself remembers that “ I always knew that when I got older I would have a house full of animals that I had saved myself. Therefore, my current situation is no surprise to me or to those I know. ”
Today, this man, who is truly a saving angel, lives with seven dogs and two cats. He has saved them all. Of course, everyone is very well adapted to their surroundings and the care they receive.
His attitude to saving abandoned animals is that “you not only save a life, but you also let other animals that have been abandoned be adopted.” Even though he “only” lives with nine animals , he has saved a total of 16. Of these, the rest have been adopted by other families. These love their animals and treat them as they deserve.
We get excited to hear stories about people like Asher. People who are willing to give their time, energy and resources. All to support the work of rescuing abandoned animals.
We love the fact that it is not just Asher who has shown this sacrifice. There are many other similar stories that we have told earlier in My Animals that have touched us deeply.
Here are some of them:
- Woman reading for dogs. We once told you about the woman who spent at least two hours a day in a shelter where she visited the dogs. At first, her intention was to read to them. Something that makes them feel like someone is close. In time, she talked to them, played with them, and brought sweets to them. The workers at the shelter believe that many of the dogs’ vitality increased.
- The millionaire who went bankrupt. This man had made a fortune on his business but decided to leave everything and indulge in rescuing and caring for abandoned animals. Unfortunately, he had spent everything and sought new funds to help.
- The lady who created a shelter. Another woman from a Scandinavian country spent her entire monthly pension benefit to help and feed the over 50 dogs she saved. She asks the neighbors for help, who are not late to give it.
Like these, there are hundreds of stories around the world that give us some hope. They show that there are still people whose hearts are not made of stone. We hope that many more will show up over time.
It is true that abandonment is an evil that seems impossible to eradicate, but if we all do our part, we can achieve it. What can you do?
